I feel that there could be something in the future, but whether this is on the current CS or a future version, I'm not sure (from Games Industry, back in February 2019): I realise that my opinion is just simply my opinion (and not a popular one). They have to make a version of CS that is stable enough to be played on the 'lowest common denominator' (which would be the original Xbox One and PS4, not the upgraded versions) so as to not cause the game to crash due to an overload in RAM.Īs such, I'm not too fussed about the vast differences in available tools and assets, as nice as some of those tools and assets are. I have always seen the console versions as a port (this was always the plan for Tantalus Media) and nothing more. As for me, I'll continue to play CS on my Xbox in peace. Please console players, give it a rest or go buy a PC. When you see people make sweeping statements such as 'after all of these years CS have done nothing about traffic', then you know there are still those who simply don't understand why this can't happen or don't appreciate all that CS have already done for us console player just to bring this 'PC' game to console in the first place.īottom line is that most, if not all of the consoles in their current form, don't have the sheer RAM to handle the DLC's and additional mods on top of that (such as Traffic Manager) especially given how some can completely change the behaviour of thousands upon thousands of individual objects (in the case of TM, cars). The amount of times I've looked at a thread (such as ) which has very little to do with mods at all and yet have gotten into debates/seen rants about the lack of mods on console is too much. Can we please stop having rants like 'when will we get Traffic Manager' and 'I want to have the assets they have on PC' and just accept that it won't happen? This is a plea from a console player to other console players.
